Welcome. We have set up this site to prepare for what we believe will be one of the most exciting conferences on Managerial and Organizational Cognition. When it’s over we might keep it on as a community resource.

The principle aim of the conference is to bring together academics, from both sides of the Atlantic and hopefully from further afield, to share their work and look to the future of the field – and have some fun doing so!

The conference runs the week before the British Academy of Management conference and a short cheap flight will get you between both.

Gerard Hodgkinson, well known for his tenacity in pushing towards new frontiers, has very kindly agreed to give the keynote address. We will be arranging the keynote and the sessions so there is time, not just to present our individual work, but to engage in a scholarly community debate over the two days of the conference.

The conference will take place in the National University of Ireland, Maynooth which is just outside Dublin and served directly from the USA and most major European cities.

We will be updating the website with information on the conference, logistics, things to do while in Ireland and lots more over the coming months. For now just make sure you have 6-7 September 2012 marked in the diary.

That’s all for now, but do check back as we update the website and blog.

If you are an academic in the field and interested in posting a blog piece to start the conversation just email me at robert@robertgalavan.com and I will set up an account for you.
